Ati boost pump relay, gone bad?
Ati boost pump relay, gone bad?
Has anyone had trouble with the boost pump relay gone bad?
Car was running fine, then total loss of Fuel Pressure.
I have power going to relay, good ground, but when key is turned on no power to the pump. All wires look good, connections ok
Everything was ok, does the relay just quit?

Just put a new relay on there and see.. you can also test it pretty easily by checking all the connections and then giving power to the switching terminal and seeing if you can here it click and checking for 12V on the power wire to the pump. I always have extra relays sitting around, and even keep one in the car usually just in case an important one decides to die at a bad time (water pump, fuel pump, nitrous solenoids, etc.. )
Thanks I wil go check, and listen for the click, before I change it, should I see if I am getting power from the gray wire from fact. fuel pump where it is spliced cause if it isn't getting power from the splice then the relay may not be bad?
Could the fact pump relay and or fuse gone bad? I will try to track them down,
Thanks
again
I'll keep your guys posted>

If you are getting 0 fuel pressure, I would first check the factory fuel pump. I would assume you will still get some fuel pressure even if your inline pump is not turning on. I have had fuel pumps just die (not make and noise or anything) when they were getting power, so it may be that your factory pump is dead.
See if you are getting power to the pump when you turn the key on. If the relay for the fuel pump is clicking it most likely is working. If the relay isn't clicking, check the fuse to it and then the relay. An easy way to check to see if the relay is bad is to borrow one from something else really quick (there are a bunch in the fuse/relay box under the hood) and see if that changes anything.
Good luck and I hope that it isn't the in tank pump.

Trying to track down the fuse, to fact pump. I just checked the ati relay, it isn't getting power from the splice (ign) to activate relay.
My power is good from battery and so are grounds.
FUSE location?
