Anyone with a powerdyne on an ls1-
Re: Anyone with a powerdyne on an ls1-
Ken, we had one on my cousins LS1 truck. It was very quiet and docile. It was a beast when it worked. The thing chewed up blower belts like they were going out of style. After the 3rd or 4th one, we got his money back. I've heard of others having the same problem. If that problem has since been fixed, I'd say go for it, but deffinatlly find out first.

This bypass valve will save going through internal belts.

Without it when you close thr trottle suddenly the compressed air has nowhere to go but back into the S/C.
Puts stress on the belt similar to twisting the cogs back and forth for which they weren't designed for, causing premature failure.
I've put 10,000 miles on my Powerdyne with the 9 psi pulley without any problems, but I don't beat my car as much as I used to and don't rev past 5400 rpm.

I had good luck out of my 6lb powerdyne on my 95 Formula, Had probably 20k on it with no probs whatsoever. Sold it to a friend, he ran it for a while, then sold it to someone else. Very quiet. Couldnt tell it was there.
