At the track a couple of weeks ago there was a 95 Trans am with LT4 package, 6# vortech w/ aftercooler, and 100 shot of Nos. Up to this point he hasnt had any engine problems. obviously he is going to blow it up any time, but who has used a small shot like 50 or 75 and got away with it.

I haven't run that on a stock shortblock but I would definately give a 50-75shot a try on it and as long as it doesn't detonate it will be fine.

Yes, I ran a 100-125 dry shot with a Vortech SQ-trim w/aftercooler on a stock LS1 short block in 2002. It ran low 10s in Vegas.

Yes, I ran 10 lbs of boost on the original stock motor with the then P1SC and a 50 shot.................twice. The second pass blew a hole in the #1 piston. Some people get away with it, some don't. I needed a rebuild anyway...........to a forged 383.

I wouldn't even consider it unless you were going to rebuild it anyway.
