Any LT1's with a T-Trim and cogs?
Any LT1's with a T-Trim and cogs?
Anyone out there with a T-Trim and cog pullies? Giving serious consideration to changing to cogs, and I'm wondering if there is someone out there who makes them or if they will have to be custom made. Pics are always appreciated.
Re: Any LT1's with a T-Trim and cogs?
A 96 LT-1 around here had a T-trim with cog belts. Made good power, but was constantly eating both cogs and belts. No reliability what so ever.
Hope that helps

Yeah, I've heard of the reliability problems, kinda baffles me though. I mean, all the YS/YSi guys use them, correct? Also, traditional roots style blowers use cogs all the time. How do these guys get them to work properly?
Do you have any idea who made the cogs? Were they one-off or does a company make them?

Re: Any LT1's with a T-Trim and cogs?
I designed and built my own cogged system on my 95 396 S Trim (soon to be T Trim) Vortec blown C4 Corvette. Its been in there since 1996 and been working fine. I used a 8mm timing belt from a Toyota DOHC engine. But the one drawback is that the systems whines and there is no sneaking around with it
