Anti-Surge system?????

Hey Guys, Finishing up my P600B twin intercooled procharger install and I have

2 booklets for directions. I was looking over them and I see that one booklet

tells me to hook up an "anti surge" from the proflow to vacuum port on the

drivers side of intake manifold.. Is that the BOV?? And do I need to do this.

The other booklet tellms me nothing about it and its for the same system.

I would guess they are referring to the bypass valve. You should have a BPV for surging issues.

I run the P600B with a front mount and a Tial 50mm BOV.

So you do have a hose running from your blow off valve to intake??

No, I ran blow through MAF near the TB and a Tial 50 mm BOV near my relay box. The BOV is vented to the atmosphere. I also have a PCMforless tune.

They want the pressurized air to be re-circulated back to the supercharger intake pipe when the car is idling or under light load.

If you are refering to the vacuum line to actuate the BPV, then yes it needs to be connected to the intake manifold to sense vacuum/boost.

Where the BPV dumps the bypassed air depends on the location of your MAF, if you are running one.

I've got mine runing down stream from the maf, could that be causing any problems, I took the hose and tried dumping it out into outside air since I was just dumping hot air back into the supercharger and motor, but when I do that it won't run. does'nt it need to be up stream from the maf?

Is your MAF in the boost pipes or in the supercharger intake?

If you blow metered air off to the atmosphere, the car will run rich, if it runs at all. You can blow unmetered, boosted air off to the atmosphere without much consequence.

My MAF is located on the supercharger intake side, but since I am dumping air down stream of the MAF the MAF is not getting to meter that extra air so I am actually moving more air than the MAF thinks? am thinking right?

Your BPV needs to be in the boost pipes, and needs to dump the air back into the supercharger intake, after the MAF (so the MAF only measures it once)

The MAF needs to know what is going into the engine.
