Another FI opti vent thread
still gapped at .040, pops at WOT (issues tend to arise when boost kicks in --so around 3000rpm or under load)
I fooled around with gapping (.028-.045) probley 4 mths ago

Check all connections! Turns out after I put on my new opti...still no start. Drove to cheyenne to pick up a coil...still no start. Decided to unhook the msd box and found the green wire to the coil was loose.
Also I picked up a filter from autozone...basically a small breather(3/8") and ran 3/8'' hose from the opti cap to the filter. Hooked up the vacuum with the orifice and and check valve like normal. Just got done driving for 25 miles or so and its running great! It idles much smoother and doesn't stumble if you gun it under 3k rpm. It always did before and I think the coil was on its way out.

Re: Another FI opti vent thread
Do you have any pics of this installed? I like how this sounds.
My setup has that big rubber 'Cobra' head on the inlet of the Turbo. I punched a small hole into that and THAT is my source of vacuum. The air filter tube comes off the other side of the Cobra and has the filter on it. It always has vacuum on it when the motor is running and never is pressurized.
