I've got the V2 SQ. It's the same as an S-trim but it has a helical gear drive, not straight cut gears, making it much quieter. Max horsepower according to Vortech = 680. CFM = 1000.

Re: Aftercooler and HP?

Tennessee has just an idle test and looks to make sure the cat is there.

My best is a 59 on HHC and my last test was a 169. We use the stock fan settings, raise the idle to 900-950 and retard timing to about 8-10*. I feel bad for you cali guys.

I would highly recommend the aftercooler, but use the one gallon tank instead of the small tank that comes with it. I mounted my battery in the spare tire well and the tank fits really good in its place.

you mentioned how you liked you sc cause it was quiet and i was just wondering which one you had. i wish i had the regular Strim. i dont like that i cant hear it at all. its totally silent above 1200rpm, and only has a very slight whistle between 1000-1200.

RCF925, what happens when you fail? how long do you have to correct the problems and do you get charged any kind of fines?

I failed at idle, blew CO 1.77 max is 1.00 & HC's 915 max is 100 at 2500 rpm I blew CO 5.5 max is 1.0 and HC's 178, Max is 130 That was for the first test, The second test was on ly the 2500 rpm CO still at 5.19 Max is 1.0 but like I said my EGR was working I think due to the EGR solenoid so when the rain quits around here I hope to get it straitened out. You can pre-test as many times as you want as long as you have paid your registration, You just won't get any tags until you pass so right now I'm driving the car as little as possible until I get this straightened out and can go back to my regular tune and get on a dyno.
