Talking AFR Heads

I just purchased bare AFR 210's thru Horspeower Engineering! They are having insane deals right now on AFR's! Then they'll go to lloyd and he'll see what he can do port wise. He quotes me in the (305-310)/(235-240) @ .600 cfm range!!! Wakawakawaka!

Now the real question is how much hp would a set of heads like this flow over my old LT1 Ported castings that i just sold. They flowed 271/187 @.550. We are talking an increase by 35-40cfm on the intake 45-50cfm on the exhaust. I will be running 12-14psi 383ci LT1 with these heads and a special grind cam by Bret Bauer. It good size...but we'll leave it at that. Is it crazy to think that ~30rwhp could be gained by going to these AFR's?

Thats the exact setup I would like to go with on a 355 blower buildup that I am starting. I talked to HPE about a week ago about the AFR heads. I was thinking of them and Llyod Elliot or Advanced Induction. Any reason why you didn't have HPE do the porting and if you don't mind me asking, what did you pay for the heads?

How do I get in touch with Horsepower Engineering? I have been looking around, and might be interested in these heads.

----edit-this reply was to someone asking what cam I ran, I answered and then the post was gone????-----

NOT one for boost, thats for sure. I have the LT4 hotcam package (cam, rockers, springs). The only other internal mod to my motor is forged pistons. It even has stock rod bolts, LOL.

It gets my tank down the track pretty fast though, for an IMPY with a fatass driver at least.

I can't exactly remember their site, I think that it's Horsepowerengineering.com but you can do a search and be able to find it pretty easy. They are also a sponser on LS1tech.com

If your going to get a custom grind cam for the heads, and they flow the numbers that llyod quoted you I would guess your in for a 25-30rwhp gain. Depending on how high you gonig to rev the motor. But you should see gains across the board, those 210's are much bigger than your other heads. Are they LT4's?

I told chuck i would mention pricing on the board, but seriously go to their site (www.horsepowerengineering.com) and get the number and call. I bought bare unported heads.

Peak power is gonna roll in around 5600-5800rpm. 25-30rwhp would be nice. Also, I will be dropping the compression down a little more with the new heads Yeas they are LT4's, so i need a new intake too.
