AFR 227+ Edelbrock LT4 intake gaskets? (F.I. 383)

Hey eveybody

I need to assemble my top end and im at the point where I need to purchase intake and head gaskets.What gaskets do you suggest?
And if you want to shoot me some tips on how to make shure the gaskets seal that would help.

bottem end info
arp head studs
-31 cc pistons

If you need moe info just let me know.

I believe that with heads that big, you wont be able to use the LT4 gaskets. You'd have to get a SBC match to the heads (AFR publishes this info on their website).

I don't think that Edelbrock intake is gonna do you any good though. I doubt you can even open the ports up that big. Not to mention the lack of plenum volume.. A ported Victor single plain intake would be a wiser choice.

Theres people on this site running stock lt4 intakes with the 227's making 6-700+ hp I dont think my intake choice is an issue with my goal.Lets get back to the topic

Back to the topic... Go to AFR's website and look up the gasket they recommend. Their ports will match that gasket.

Back to the 'off topic'
I dont even know what your goal is... But if I were runnin 227's, I'd be lookin for alot more power than 6-700hp... Im doin that with ported stock head castings.

Anyway, good luck.

I am using LT4 Race gaskets, but thats what my heads been ported to.
