im running a p600b with an intercooler and can run full timing on 93 but I have a BTM and turn it back when im running 93 just t obe safe you never know when your going to get a bad tank and blow the motor, my blower has been on for two years now, basicly stock motor with the blower and runs low 12s, this winter once I put a transmission it it with a nice stall ill see 11s yet.

That's sweet man! How much boost are you pushing? I'm running high 12's, but the last time I went to the track, my car was bogging due to running way too rich. I need to go back again soon.

im running 9 lbs of boost on mine, im bogging off the line to only 2.0 60 foots, im putting in a th350 transmission this winter with a 3500 stall that should put me into the 11s on a stock motor, I have a 12 lb pully yet I was thinking about putting it on but im worried it take out a piston or rod.

damn you auto guys... I can't get traction for ****. Hopefully with these lca's/brackets and an airbag I can do something.

But yea I am running 6 psi no intercooler with alcohol injection. Full timing with BTM at about 1* and no knock. A dyno tune would be ideal so you can tune the A/F ratio a little rich so you don't lose too much power but you are in the safe zone. Even though everything looks good, I am still planning on the engine popping sometime so I have so money chillin waiting for it. Then it's 383 and MORE BOOST!!!!! Hahaha.

I ran 7-10 psi with the stock internals and hypertech supercharger custom tune along with a dyno tune for about 95,000 miles. I have a p600b with two core intercooler. I finally cracked #1&#7 ringlands when my ATI FMU went bad. But with a good budget rebuild the motors back together and she is running strong again.

It depends on the weather.

I have the ATI P-1SC twin hi-flow intercooler setup. Just get a MAF massager or MAF translator to make sure it's not running lean and you'll be fine. Everyone said I was going to blow up my motor, but it's still running strong. I'm spinning DR's with only 16psi of air in them going into 2nd gear! But the one thing to remember is, you have to know your motor. I bought the car with 42,000 miles on it and it has a very strong engine, so I supercharged it.
THANK YOU GOD! There is another poster here who knows his stuff...sheesh

Like Drew, I have a bone stock engine(LS1 though). Mods below, running on stock programming/injectors(even using a cartech FMU) and after 41K miles with the blower, the car still runs strong. Just use quality gas from a good station and all is going to be well.

Good luck! P.S. nice web page

how exactly would a MAF translator work on a 93 F-body?

LS1 scales timing based on g/cyl values, which will scale well past a few pounds of boost, esp. on a stock motor. NA will see around 0.5-0.6 g/cyl, while boosted will go as high as 1.2+ g/cyl (where stock tables max out, depending on the year).

The distinction is that on a ls1 you will effectively retard timing for boost (since you are getting more air mass per cylinder) - stock will knock it down to around 18 degrees or so vs. 28 or so NA (stock displacement).

On a LT1 your timing is metered vs. the MAP sensor, which will give you the same WOT timing whether you are NA or at 100lbs of boost - *not* a good situation.

I would get a custom program - just get the car dynotuned and you will be fine - otherwise it is a gamble - there are many more people who have blown up doing the same thing vs. those who haven't.
