Re: 6-71/8-71 Supercharger

It'll look SICK

Sorry no camaro pictures, but check out the link in my sig to my cardomain. Mines a 6-71 on a BB with a pretty tall plate under the carbs so it's really friggin tall...hard to see around...but it's worth it when you stomp on the gas.

I did the install last year, so any questions feel free to ask. Hope your 700R4 is built strong.

both have their pros and cons...if your going for a head turner and wow-factor, you can't beat a blower...if you want to keep it all under the hood...go turbo.

I was perfectly happy with my BB setup. Than a friend of mine wanted to sell his entire blower setup for $1500 (with carbs)...couldn't pass it up.

What type of power do you think it makes?

I don't have any exact HP #'s with the blower. When the motor was built it was dynoed at 492hp...without the blower (dart intake and a 1050 dominator carb). I'll be taking it to a chassis dyno in the spring to see what it's puttin to the ground. When I added the blower, the difference is night and day over what it had....and I'm running the blower at -11% underdriven so it's capable of much more. I tried it at -3% under and traction became more of a problem. It's a street (weekend) car, so I'm happy with it at -11%under to keep it drive-able (sort of)

thats the problem, i want that insane woah factor and head turner look, but i also wanna go with the turbo, so nobody knows whats under the hood

its hard to decide, because if i go blower, i can go w/ that lopey cam, but if i do a turbo, i can't do it, w/o making horrible power
