5 lbs of boost with 10.8 to 1 compression?
i have a built 355 lt1 with a complete forged bottom end....eagle 4340 crank-eagle h beam rods and trw forged pistons.,,i also have afr 54cc cylinder heads which make my compresion 10.8 to 1.. i am going to run 42lb injectors and a tune from pcmforless.do you think the engine will hold up to 5 pounds of non intercooled boost ? the reason i cant run an intercooler is because the engine is in a 69 camaro and i dont have room.i also only run 94 octane gas.

Re: 5 lbs of boost with 10.8 to 1 compression?
Well I have it but I haven't hooked it up.
The powerdyne 6 lb pulley only gave me 4 lb.
I've put the 9 lb pulley in and it reads just over 5 through the mid rpms.
I'm gonna hook up the water/methanol injection in the spring when I reset my shift point from the current 5400 rpm A4 setup up to 5600 or 5800 rpm.
Then I'll probably see 7 lb and have the injection come on at 5 lb.
I have the alkycontrol **** adjustable progressive setup with the stock windshield washer bottle with low level light.
So far I really like the extra torque at mid rpms for daily driving.
