heys i have just purchased a 383 short block with apx. 8.5:1 comp.for my s/c.
i blew up my stock lt1 so its time to go forged.
this is what i already have:
-stock ported heads 2.02/1.60,rr's, dbl valve springs(similar to LE2)
-ported intake
-custom grind comp cam 224/236/114lsa
-roller timing chain
-chromoly pushrods

so my question is, what else will i need to assemble this block.

 

A whole bunch of stuff. Can you be more specific?

well i know ill need all the gaskets and i have all the other parts from the original lt1 that i blew. i just want to know if there is anything else?
