I will be buying a either 383 or 396 LT1 short block this summer. I am looking for recommendations on builders. I have checked a few places and all of the prices are pretty similar so, I want something that will be reliable as possible with a supercharger pushing moderate 10-12 lbs of intercooled boost. (at most 15)

I already have an almost complete new top end waiting minus the injectors and intake. After I get those the short block will be ordered.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

I have an ARE 383 in my ta, built 2003 tuned by ARE ran 5000 km had to come out at my expence. Still in car and if it wasn't for all the oil and coolant leaks and all the oil burned it would be a great engine .

Building another long at a local shop that has all equipment and actually cares about his reputation.

I have a Golen short block.. It turned out pretty nice. Im running 15psi right now of NON intercooled boost. Intercooler is going on soon and 18-19psi and a 75 shot with a methanol injection system.. since i dont have the 900 for LS1 speeds fuel system.. golen all the way though!
