FYI, for my 383ci T88 turbo build I will be using XFI lobes: 224/224 .573/.565 114LSA cam... only cuz my car needs to pass the sniffer test for inspection. Its $239 + shipping for a new cam, so if the used one your looking at is close to that in price, then just buy a new one like mine (or different specs). In general, your car could be very driveable and easily make 600rwhp with a small cam.

Its up to you... I dont think there will e a noticeable difference betwen the two cams, but I like to buy my cams new unless it was a great deal. So $190 shipped versus probably $270 shipped... its up to you. The cam will be fine IMO.

Including shipping?

I bought mine ftom a great sponsor here (VRE) and I believe the price was 239 + shipping (thats why I wrote 270 shipped). I ended up opting for the billet core which added another $30-35 to the price.

I dont mind spending the extra money if its going to make a difference...if the custom cam that I said would fit the need better id rather go with that. I dont want to skimp on something that will cost me later...plus its only 60$...so..if you were me? haha

224/224 .573/.565 114LSA ... there ya go, you can ordr that one too

Honestly, engineermike is using 224/226 "blower" cam and aking 700rwhp thru an auto... PTK customer made 1000rwhp with a 218/218 cam... pick your poison.

I like yours..they did ask me which lobes id be using..so that helps. I think im going to go with a a slightly lower lift. 224/224 .565/.555 114 should I have any advance ground in?..Id go with 218..but I want a "lil" more cam than that. I plan on using this cam down the road sometime with a bigger setup. Hows your car sound with this cam? Any clips/vids?

If you hold your breath and plug your ears with your fingers... thats how my car sounds Its not put back together yet Advancing/retarding cam timing should shift the curve... at 0 degrees (no advance ground in) peak power wil probably be in the 5400-5600rpm area. talk with one of the board sponsors on the cam will react with different degrees ground in.

My buddy has a C5 with cam and boltons and he has a 224/224 .56x/.56x 112 and its mild... it has some lope to it... but its mild.

What happened to engineermike, he ususally chimes in.
