Which 2 step!!!!

MSD 6520 or mallory 685??

Both have similar features, the MSD uses rotary dials for the rev limiter and the mallory uses a led display. So i sort of give the advantage to the Mallory.

Anyone have any experiance?

Mainly want a box to build boost on the line and make my launches more repeatable.

If i remember correctly you have to keep these digital boxes cool or they will crap the bed. I was thinking about mounting it in the glove box or in the trunk (thick wires for less power loss). Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Honestly there is no reason to run a box... Your stock ignition has plenty of power and the ECM will overun all the other features.. I think the box kills Optis..

He needs it for a 2-step (used for turbo cars to build boost off the line when launching).

I don't have a recommendation though.

What are the differences between the two? If you are only getting a box for the 2-step then it really shouldn't matter. Heat kills all ignitions, but there are only so many places that you can actually mount a box. I run a MSD and it's mounted where the factory fuse/relay box is in the engine compartment. I remember reading that it needs to be mounted in an open place where it can get air. I've read several people who say mounting in the glove box will get it just as hot as the engine compartment since it's all closed up.

Only thing i can tell is the LED display vs rotary dials to change settings. Someone told me the same thing about the glove box. Might mount it behind the headlight in the secondary battery tray (b body )

Was just wondering if anyone had any first hand experiance.
