12# pulley making 8#........
12# pulley making 8#........
I have the setup in the sig and car is only making 8#. I had the 8# pulley on a few weeks ago and it made 8#'s everytime I went WOT. Could it be the ragged orange dryer hose is collapsing ?? I think I might try a solid intake of some kind like the Powerdyne Cobra that I have seen a few use. I have checked all my fittings and there seem to be no leaks. I have also used two different boost guages just to make sure and they both read the same. I don't think the belt is slipping cause it is so consistent on the amount of boost that it makes. Anyone have any suggestions ??

For one I would look into replacing the orange flex hose for a solid piece. Also remove the small K&N filter that comes with the kit and stick the biggest K&N you can fit on your car. You will also loose boost since you are running more displacement.

JK,
You should see at least 10 pounds, as I always see 10-11 pounds on my 12-rib belt setup. IT probably is not the orange dryer hose because that hose is reinforced with steel wire. Do you still have that rubber elbow, that could be it. I ended up fabricating my own solid intake pipe using 3.5" exhaust tubing, but I had to retain a small section of the orange dryer hose. I may have gained maybe 1 psi boost, I haven't really pegged my eyes on the boost gauge lately but it felt a little stonger after that mod.
It could also be belt slippage, are you sure you have it tensioned properly, double check that.
