twin supercharged V12

these guys build one hell of an engine......just stumbled upon this site.........the pic is of their upcoming engine, estimating about 1500hp.

860 ci......14 liters.........mmmmmmm

their other engines are naturally aspirated and come in 3 flavors, 900hp, 1050hp, and 1150hp.........all with 1100tq.

dont think anybody would want that in their car. 1000lbs! looks like its just a couple of big blocks welded together, and some **** chopped off. it has 4 cyl heads.

wouldnt mind some of these engines either :P

musser's right it does look just like a pair of big blocks chopped up and welded together, would be much cooler if it was done more seemlessly, or just some custom castings of the real thing plus half again

check out the pictures at those sites, some are more ridiculous than the one got_hp posted

Ya I agree with Jordan, 1000 lbs, 1500hp/1000ft-lbs, thats only a 1.5:1 power to weight ratio.....

Power to weight ratio is sooo important, most people dont understand that. You could have a 5000hp engine weighing 5000lbs and i could have a 500lb engine making 1000hp..... 1:1 ratio vs 2:1 ratio....which do you want?

But that is a wicked looking engine....and **** on a boat.....DAMN....innertubing wouldn't be the same, or safe.

Ya V12 just has a ring to it.....i know what ya mean.

How bout this...grab a Flat 12 from a Testarossa, add koneigs twin turbo kit, make around 800hp and have it weight 500 lbs....and then put it in a really small muscle car....dart maybe? hehehhe

Most marine motors run in reverse, at least all Mercruser and OMC's motors do. And they are designed to run at constant speeds which normally requires better oiling. I have never built one or anything this is just what my boat mechanic has told me.

I'm not picky, I just want an LT5 with Lingenfelter's 415ci package.
Makes 610 BHP / 520 lbs-ft of torque!! I could live with that.
