Wrapped PS LT's

these are my race style pacesetters this was my first wrap job so the first header was a learning process but i figured out some of the tricks on the driver side that helped how the passenger side turned out.

if you get it wet before you install them, the wrap will contour to the pipes better.

FYI, it'll smoke like hell the first 10-15 miles you drive it.

I've always been told header wrap is a bad idea...trapping moisture, causing rust, etc...

Doesn't "trap moisture"..... that's not why it rusts. The mild steel get so hot from the header wrap keeping it at extremly high tube metal temperatures that mild steel is not intended to operate at, that the iron in the steel starts to combine with oxygen (= rust). Also tends to accelerate cracking of the welds from the extreme heat cycling. Racers wrap headers for improved scavenging of the hotter exhaust gasses. But race teams recognize that the headers may not last very long under those conditions. Going to be interesting to see how long these last.

Wraped my last set, they lasted about 8 months before a 1.5" rust hole blew through. I won't be doing it again. My .02
