What muffler for flow and deep tone?

I want to replace my muffler without losing the great sound. What would be the best for flow and sound? I want the type that has 1 inlet and 2 going to the tips. I love the deep tone and sound i get now. I am going to run a 3" pipe back to the muffler so it would have to be a 3" muffler.

i love my magnaflow, sounds very good and deep while still being somewhat quiet at low rpm's but when you get on it it really screams

Are these the ones you are talking about. They need the lowest restriction and the best sound. Not asking for too much am i?

I went to the dynomax web site. Good info on muffler flow. I had a flow problem with a FI app. It really helped me.

personally i live by the sound of borla exhaust, i have a 96 T/a and a good friend of mine told me it sounds like its going to steal your lunch money. dont know pricing but, it sounds mean from 1,000 rpm all the way to redline. it has a VERY deep exhaust note...espically if you leave the slinecing plates out of it tho....

Glad to hear good things about MagnaFlow. MY 97WS6's Flowmaster exhaust is rusting out at the mufflers exit pipes do I'm having a cat-back 3" MagnaFlow kit 15620 put in. It's all Stainless and the Polished tips look great. The shop will weld all the joints for a tight system that looks good.
MagnaFlow has a wav file on their website if anyone wants to see what they sound like on an F-body. For a good flowing stainless steel system they are a bargain.

Whats the part number or size i need? I have plans to go 3" to the muffler when i replace it so would i go 3" to the tips or what size is best? The Flowmaster has the single inlet and dual oulets so would like to stay with this setup. Thanks for all the help so far. Magnaflow looks like the winner so far.

if your looking for a muffler with all out flow nothing will be a borla xr-1. Their expensive but their race mufflers, your car will be loud with one on there. Really loud without a cat. Its a stright through design.

I drive it around town mostly so too loud is not good. I will be getting the cutout for that part. I also only saw them with single in and single out so what do i do about the dual exhaust pipes?

If you want great flow with a deep and raspy sound, go slp loudmouth. LM II is louuud and deep, LM I is obnoxiously loud and resonates alot. Both are pretty much just resonators, so its just a hollow pipe, not alot of restriction.
