all catbacks generally put out the same hp, you'll have to listen to them to decide what you prefer www.ls1sounds.com ....same goes for headers.

Are you looking for a setup from front to back or just a catback replacement?

In that case, all of the catbacks are pretty close to each other in terms of gains. It then becomes a matter of cost and sound preference. You may want to try www.ls1sounds.com and get an idea of some of what some of the systems sound like. Also, check out the supporting vendors on this site and you will get an idea of what the catbacks go for price-wise.

Jet-Hot makes long tube headers so you will have to get the y-pipe that they sell also as the long tubes use a special design y-pipe. For 1500, you should have your whole exhaust covered from front to back, that is about what I paid for everything.

>not if he goes Kooks and their Y pipe too.
I have the Jet Hot Long tubes and they are looking like **** coating is flaking off, I bought the Kooks Long tubes with their Y pipe. I plan on removing the jetHots having them recoated by Jet Hot and selling them. I'll try and take a pic.

Plus, if you add in the extra junk like 02 simulators or tuning, better headers bolts, gaskets, harness extensions, ect. it tallies up the final cost real quick.
