True duals and cats?

is there any way i could run cats on a true dual setup. i am in the process of deciding if i am going to go the AS&M mid length 1-3/4 headers with an electric cutout and stock cat with my existing cat back.

or...

jet hot long tubes, true duals setup, under the axle out the rear. but somehow i need to figure out where the cat(s) would fit into the equation.

i'm still in the process of reading the million pages of true duals in the sticky section of LS1tech. but if anyone has this kind of setup, lemme know! thanks

You can put Cats on the TD setup. Just have the Muffler shop cut the pipes and put them in-line. I have seen some guys run under the axle exhaust with a solid axle, but I would not recomend doing it. Very hard to jack up the car and also very low hanging pipes.

I saw a guy do true duals under the axle, but he had 3 bolt flanges in front of the axle so he could remove the rear section of the exhaust if it was getting in your way. It was a pretty good idea if you ask me.

He was on this board. He posted pictures in the LT-1 section, I believe. I looked through earlier but didn't find anything. Perhaps a callout could turn him up.
