"Street Legal Performance"

will a straight SLP catback systemwith only a resignator hurt the LT1 with a 10.5:1 compression ratio? thanks in advance

Nope go for it Any help in getting better exhaust flow should give you a benefit in HP

Its a good upgrade from the stock exhaust. You will pick up 10-15 hp depending on application. You can always go true duals also if your not worried about emissions.

IMO its loud and sounds like crap (I hate rasp), but what do you think it would "hurt"?

I don't see it hurting anything other then your ears. You should see a decent power increase as with any good aftermarket catback.

it sounds like crap on an LS1 as for the LT im quite partial to it

loudmouth sounds like a catback just dying to sound like true duals...if ur gonna get an exhaust get true duals dumped...and just find a lenient emissons place

Easy to get rid of the "Rasp"

Just replace the Resonator with a Bullet Muffler

or A Chambered Stick Style Muffler

I would also agree Loudmouth is definitely best for LT1s vs LS1s
