stock y pipe broke right near the collector on the passenger side bank. what are my option as far as aftermarket y pipes that will work with the stock manifolds? imnot looking for another stock y pipe because they are so restrictive and im not going with a header setup just because im happy with the preformance and sound i have already. thanks in advance

 

Back in 03 i bought a Borla one(was advertised as a alt. to headers,fits stk. manifolds,10 h.p gain)Unfortunately i just sold mine this spring and Thunder Racing no longer sells that item.

 

look at stainless works. They have ss or steel y pipes that bolt up to the stock manifolds. just put one on my 96 Z, fit great no issues.

 

SLP if you want to keep your cats... (I think)

 

Does Magnaflow include a y-pipe with all their replacement cats? The one I have laying around for my 94 came with a nice stainless Y included. I dunno if all of them include it though. If not, Stainless Works will have one.

Random Technology #172-25906,there nice I've got one on my 99 Z28 but they run around $600.

Went with the dynomax y pipe with n cats. It ran me about $200. Install was easy but 2 of the 6 studs on the exhaust manifolds broke so I had to drill 'em out and use bolts instead, this was the hardest part. But I like the sound especially with the slp loudmouth because there is no muffler.

 

I'll buy used.

yes it bolted right up

 

Sleepy- I have an SLP y-pipe still sitting in the garage. I bought it for my 94 so I don't know if its something you would be interested in. It has never been installed- weld-in style to the single-cat exhaust.
