Stock '95 Trans Am Exhaust

I just bought a '95 Trans Am and am looking to replace the stock muffler. Does anyone know what the inlet/outlet diameters are on the stock setup? And, is it 1 in/1 out on one side, and 1 out on the other? Thanks!

Seems like it is an odd ball size, like single 2.75 in and then dual 2 or 2.25 out. I know its not dual 2.5 out as I put true dual 2.5" on and the TA twin tips were a bit smaller than the 2.5" tubing.

Yes, it is 1 out on each side of the muff.

what 2quik6 said, its an oddball size. i woudlnt worry about the exact dimensions, just find a muffler thats advitised for the f bodys. the only ones i can think of off the top of my head are the hooker areo and the flowmaster 80 but there are others

Hooker makes an aerochamber that's a direct bolt-on. I put it on mine, and I love it.

hairbear..do you have a part number on the muffler? I would like to put one on mine for more of an aggressive tone. There are two mufflers for the LT1 application. One is a 3" inlet and the other is a 2.5" inlet. Thanks!

Here's the same muffler that I ordered from Summit. The price has gone up though

It's the HOK-21721HKR

My tailpipes were welded on from the factory, so I just ordered some new ones from RockAuto. After doing that, I would just have some bent by someone, or there are places that sell the pipes with mandrel bends.
