STAINLESS headers......

does anyone make them for an LT1? i'm sure i've seen them somewhere before. all i see in summit are the bbk chrome one's, and i really do not want to polish those all the time. i want no rust, thats why i'm looking to stainless. thanks!

edit. i see kooks headers seem to be stainless. any less expensive one's ? specificly mid legenth.

Kooks are the only ones making stainless LT1 headers as of right now. Everyone else offers either painted steel or coated steel.

If they don't know any better, then I don't need to know them!

Who cares what other people think about stainless's "burned in" color.
Folks in the know, know they are superior. I mean, really, if someone
complains about the "color", explain the merits.

Kooks & SLP and a couple other companies offer them. I had the SLP's on my '95, wanted something bigger, went with stepped Kooks for an engine build/match. Neither were coated, neither have/had rust issues. Then again, the car pretty much stays in the garage except here and there, so I'd say you get what you pay for with headers as with most quality parts. If you're looking for the cheapest option with gain, I'd say perhaps pacesetter long tubes and have them coated?

Are these the headers being talked about on LS1Tech? Better fitment than Kooks? That's the first time I've heard anyone make that claim about those particular headers. Didn't the guy have to remove some steering linkage to install the mock ups? I didn't have to remove anything, lift anything, etc. to install my Kooks, but I got straight 1 3/4", vs. stepped. Those headers are 321 stainless, which is supposedly a better grade than what's offered by Kooks.

Their $1400 price includes the y-pipe. I ended up paying about the
same for the Kooks, but I got two high-flow cats with the y-pipe.

Neither is their catback, I was inquiring about that awhile back seeing if anyone on here had that installed and how they liked it. I didn't get any feedback regarding it. I didn't realize S&W was making stainless LT1 headers, haven't seen anyone on here running them either.
