Flowmaster has a reputation for having one of the worst flowing systems on the market. If you are looking for maximum flow, then you may want to consider something different whether it be a true dual system or a different catback.
right now i dont have a complete cat back when i bought the car i think they just put the muffler on if i just change the muffler out till i can get the whole system will that hold over ok
The muffler is not the only restrictive part of the catback, the rest of the piping poses a hindrance as well. I personally think it would be a waste of money just to swap another muffler. I would just use what you have until you have the funds to replace the catback as a whole.
