I'm trying to decide which exhaust I want to get for my 97 Z28 and I'm stuck between the loudmouth and borla. I want a more louder sound so thats why Im looking into the loudmouth. When I go to the slp website and go to 93-97 f-body there is nothing that shows any of the exhaust systems for the car. Does any one have any idea where I can find the loudmouth for a 97 Z28 on the site? Also on a stock 97 Z28 which would be louder the borla or the loudmouth? Thanks

 

I love my borla. I've never been a fan of SLP.. Borla is great, its also adjustable, soo you can make it louder.. That would be my vote.. Check out www.ls1sounds.com and you should be able to find to sound clips..

 

I'm leaning more towards the borla and i've heard nothing but good things about it. Also can you explain how the plates work to me? Is it different sizes make it louder and can you just have no plate and have it open?

and also, i think the loudmouth will be louder due to the nearly straight through design of the resonator. it doesn't have anything in it like a normal muffler to muffle the sound. but i do not have much in person experience with the adjustable borla muffler to compare it to.

i did, however, put a borla xr1 muffler in place of the loudmouth resonator (borlamouth) to quiet it down a bit and give it more of a tone and elimate some of the raspyness.

the loudmouth2 is quieter and as for better sounding, i really wouldn't know. best thing to do might be to try http://www.ls1sounds.com or http://www.lt1engine.com for soundclips of different systems. only thing is most of those have headers/cams which will change the sounds more

 

ive never heard the LM2 but i know the LM1 is louder... i like it
