couldn't tell what you meant by bassani is overrated. the bassani can be had for 779.00 in aluminized pipe, instead of T439 stainless steel. ther are different grades of stainless steel used. T409 is what most companies use. T439 has a higher nickel and titanium content to aide in longevity.

I loved by SLP Loudmouth before I got headers and no cats! Lots of compliments from all kinds of people. Sounded great.

I hated it afterwards! Make sure you plan ahead.

I don't care for the borla, personally.

the drone and rasp is what I don't like on my LM I , but I'm sure replacing the bullet with something else would help.

If your gonna spend money on Borla. Which is better than GMMG in my opinion ... pop for Corsa. The most defineable exhuast note produced. NO other exhaust even comes close to the sound of Corsa.

I think the SLP pipes sound horrible. My vote goes to Magnaflow - $300-$400 for a completely stainless cat-back? Hard to beat that. And the sound is great, too. Deep, but mellow and not raspy or glasspack sounding.

I think the LM 1 sounds great. I have never got one bad comment, even mustang guys say how much they like the sound. But i do not have headers, nor have i heard one with so, i cant commment on that.

Yeah I have the LM I, I figured it would be a little nastier than the LMII, and I was right lol and if you've got LT's like I do, it sounds like death. I just didn't like the sound really without the LT's and stock y-pipe. If you dump the cat(s) add some LT's SSlither you'll be satisified, trust me on that

And I'm in the process of adding some magnaflow 3.5 dia. 18 in. long tips out the back, I think the slp tips are funky, but thats just me.

I liked the lm1 when I had headers with stock cats and cam, but after the cam it's to much. I am in the process of changing the resonator but I haven't decided what to replace it with. How much quieter is the lm2 resonator?

get rid of them...sorry. Even if you get magnaflow hi-flow cat(s) it will cut some of drone and rasp. I wish I could record the sound of my exhaust for you. It sounds good and healthy at idle and WOT...don't let people talk you out of the SLP, it's just as good as the magnaflow in my opinion, except for the tips of course

No emissions laws in Wyoming, move here...haha, I don't think you could use hi-flow cats then if you have emissions test. You might want to check with your state laws, and see if you could. You might want to go with the LMII then, because the bullet muffler is actually a resonator, instead of just hollowed muffler like the LM I

I passed emissions in california with the lm1 and headers. How much quieter is the lm2? Because I need to quiet my lm1 down.

should be some sound clips floating around, do a search maybe, If you've got stiff emissions laws you might want to shy away from the SLP SSlither, I've been pulled over in various states to see if I was running open headers without a muffler. The "bullet" is not your average muffler and you might catch some heat for it

The magnaflow would probably be your best bet if you need to pass emissions/sound tests. and you'll also avoid being harrassed by law enforcement. The Mag. has a deep throaty clean sound to it and the tips are awesome.

It was way too loud and raspy. I honestly was really excited to have the headers on, fired it up, pulled out of my drive way, and after I drove about 1 mile I turned right around and parked it again until I got a new exhaust. It was bad (in my opinion).

I got a Hooker cat-back on there and I love the way it sounds now! That is my recommendation.
