IMHO the loudmouth sounds awful on LS1s even though that is what it was originally designed for, i'd go borla or magnaflow for an LS1

If you're going to pay high dollar for an exhaust I'd get the GMMG chambered, as opposed to the borla anyday of the week.

Yea gmmg is good if your spending that money. I just put a used slp on my 97 ws6 and it sounds good, but I'm feeling the need to refine that sound a bit, maybe with a muffler were the stock would go, or change the slp resonator to something else that would fit in that small space.

I don't care for the GMMG either. IMO, its just an overpriced set of glasspacks. Whatever you do, try to find used. I got my Borla for less than I could have gotten a Magnaflow system.

B&B triflow is also a great system. Its one of the best sounding systems IMO. Nice muscular burble w/out the rasp.

But, if you're going to spend that kind of cash then why not go for the Bassani true duals?

Between the two, I would opt for the Borla system IMO.

Thumbs down

in reality, you're better off building a true dual setup for the price that some of these cat-backs cost. and the Bassani is overated unless it's on a mustang.

Borla has those squared tips that look like this [X][X], right? That's about the ugliest exhaust I've ever seen on anything.

I agree... Everyone around this area that im friends with are running the loudmouths. Some switched to the loudmouth 2 after header install. I should have my full exhaust on next week... American Racing Headers and LM2. I cant wait...

What loudmouth are you running just out of curiosity

Ya know, for quite some time I have always said the SLP Loudmouth was the way to go, hell I have one. But after a few years and modding the car, the more you do to it the more it sounds like complete ***. Pops like crazy, drones like a mf'er, does sound nice at WOT. But other then that I cant wait to get rid of it and put my true duals on.

I have the loudmouth on my LT1, and I just love it. To me, it doesn't sound good on decel (pops a little bit), but when I'm getting on it, I'm sure it can be heard from a mile away, as the crow flies. Any bridge or tunnel I go under......VRRRROOOOMMMMMMM!!

i don't think it is.

here's comparison from the wife's car. took off the borla 3" adjustable catback and installed the bassani tru-duals. both on stock tune.

so what are you implying? by the dyno results...All I meant was for the price of the borla and bassani you could build one yourself for about half of what they cost. I'm not ******* the performance gains, just the price tag
