I have a 99 SS w/ stock SLP dual/dual catback. I like the sound, but would like a little deeper, slightly louder tone. How much difference will removing the cats ( with or without headers) make in sound. I was going to add a Magnaflow replacement muffler, but if removing cats will improve exhaust note, I may keep the SLP. Plans are to eventually add headers and off road y or possibly duals, so I would rather not spend a lot of money now.
