Slip fit primary tube...

I have Arizona Speed and Marine headers with the slip fit #1 primary.
in the past Ihave used high temp copper RTV to seal the joint bt I am not sure how well this work although I have never detected a leak.

Has ayone ever tried a 1.75 band clamp or does anyone have another suggestion on how to completely seal slp fit primaries?

I have hookers....I put a little grey permatex on it....
I could never find a band clamp that would work.
and also thought it may deform the tube

A band clamp will NOT deform a tube like a u-bolt clamp. The band clamp relys more on surface area rather than a crimp to do its job and seals tight in the process.

I saw a band clamp at Summit that will fit and I am hoping that someone has tried this. It did not make my last order like I hopd it would have.
