Shopping for a new exhaust system

I've been doin some searching around and I may try out Pacesetter headers with a magnaflow cat-back. Heard a couple clips, and I think it does sound very nice .

Couple questions:

- I noticed on summit, pacesetter offers "Pacersetter Headers" and "Pacesetter QuikTrip Longtube Headers". What is the difference between these two?

- I plan on replacing the catalytic converter (97 z28 dual cat). If I plan on getting the longtube headers, where could I find a replacement catalytic converter to fit up to the headers and cat-back?

Other questions will probably arise after I get some feedback. Thanks ahead of time

You can just get a universal cat. It can be made to fit with no promblems.

Pacesetter has a couple different styles, the mid-lengths and the long tubes. Also, there are a couple different styles on long tubes as well, the emissions and the non-emissions style. As for the catalytic converter, that is a bit trickier considering the long tube headers use a completely different y-pipe setup. I put dual cats in my Pacesetter y-pipe, but they are small Pypes mini-cats so they have just enough clearance to clear the fuel/brake lines and the factory torque arm.

Ty for the answers

Now that I know more of what I'm dealing with, further we go!

To make things the simpliest I can get, I'm lookin for items to just bolt right up. I'm not looking to weld really, but will if needed.

Would I have to cut the ORY to fit the LT's? If so, that's no problem at all.

My whole exhaust system just fit together and I have it held together from front to back with band clamps. I didn't have to cut any of the pipes to make them fit. This is with Pacesetter longtubes, to the ORY pipe, to a Magnaflow catback.

MmM sounds like a plan coming for this weekend ...or when I get the money ><

Is the painted set for LT's good, or should I just spend the extra money on the ceramics?

The coated are always the better option for several reasons, I would try to get them if money permits.
