You could maybe try getting under there with some Scotch brite or brillo pads or something. I gave up long ago. The coating on my Pacesetters started to rust well before a years time.

The reason being is that the coating is a THERMAL coating, not a rust preventative.

I have never checked for rust so they must be fine. Looking would do no good at this point. I have the dry air crystals in my garage so i hope this helps some. I know my factory ones had little rust so the moisture problem must be not so big here. I see some on Ebay that looked like they were under water for years.

Get under there with high temp rust spray paint.... hit them up every few weeks. It's what I do on mine...

Jet hot says to polish them once or twice a year with a good wheel polish (mother's aluminum wheel polish) and to wash them with soap and water every so often. That came straight from jet hot when I had mine recoated under warranty and told them they rusted after about 5k miles. They said that should help a bunch. Call them and ask them they'll tell you the same.

Seems like alot of work. It is almost impossible to get to certain portions of the header also with the cramped up engine bay. I don't Pacesetter offers a lifetime warranty on their coating though.

My Jet-hot LT's had a ton of rust. I never even drove the car in the rain.

My car has never seen rain or snow either. On top of that, it sees very limited miles altogether. Mine started rusting pretty bad in less then a years time.

my car saw a whole winter, and tons of rains....headers only had a surface blemish that wiped right off with a dry rag...no rust after a year what so ever

Run some sandpaper or a brillo pad over it.
