Please help me plan my true duel exhaust
No it is not lowered.
Here is what you need to take off in order to get a driver's side Edelbrock long tube header in.
1. manifold
2. Steering shaft
3. plugs and wires
4. wire retainers and all clips holding the wires on
5. oil filter and oil cooler housing (which means drain the coolant.)
6. drop the steering column and retract inside vehicle. (trust me on this)
7. Valve cover
8. Fan temp switch
9. Brake master cylinder (just disconnect and pull to side)
10. Brake booster hose
Header goes in from top
passenger side header
* starter
* spark plugs
* oil dipstick tube
Header goes in from bottom.
If you have a street car you will have to do something about the #8 primary as it will contact the HVAC box. Wrap it or something.

Federal law prohibits you from relocating the cats from their original factory location, as well as from modifying them in any way. The only exception is if it's not destined for the street. Longtube headers by definition involve relocation of the cats.
My point is that if you're concerned about being compliant with the law, you're already screwed.

Heck I could use my factory cat while I'm at it.
Here is the progress pics of my off road exhaust thus far...

The last pic they are zip tied together so I can get an idea for mounts and how the will line up in the transmission tunnel. I have since then added said mounts and finished part 1 of the over axle pipes. I have to order a panhard bar relocation kit so I can fit the 2 3" pipes over the axle. I clearanced the spare well so I can fit the full size muffler between it and the T top well. I plan on having a tire repair kit instead of a spare for 3 reasons... it is more useful, less weight and my LS1 front brakes won't work with the factory spare anyway.
