Pics of TD clearance

I have done alot of searching, I went from an edlebrock T304 muffler(3 5/8" thick) to Bullets ( I ran previously) and the clearance is really bad with the bullets and they are touching the floor on the bottom.

It works fine and just a drag car...but looks horrible from the side, any other options? I would like to see some other set ups of 4th gens with pipes dumped at the axle

Nioce how you ran yours, My tq arm mount is straight across, I may just put my 304's on like I had it or put the bullets right off the headers.

Thanks alan, don't know why I couldnt find that. Good luck to you next season

Thanks...I had the straight across TA mount and switched it for the one with the dip for the TDs...I've got the new built trans in, converter restalled to 4000 from 3600, a 6 point going in, and a Spohn drag rear sway bar going in...I'm hoping for a 10.99999 pass...

I have the same dilema. I have the BMR Track Pack and it has the TQ Arm mount bar that welds to the sub frames. I am selling my GMMG to run duals and I think I'm going to have a rough time with finding a good setup.

you either have to dump it before the subframes, or you can run the x-pipe right on top of the hump in the trac-pak. My problem was that my driveshaft loop is not connected to my torque arm, it is bolted underneath the car where that flimsy piece of metal was, and my torque arm cross bar has a hump that is not inline with it. I had no choice but to go underneath.

There is one guy on the board that actually cut the floor board and raised it, then ran his exhaust pipe over the bar. It came out really sweet and is something i might do if i can get over hacking my floor.

That is awesome !!! It is exactly what I had in mind that I would like to do with my exhaust when I have the $$ to upgrade to Kooks. I have never seen it done before in stainless.. Thanks for the inspiration. Btw do you have a list of the parts that you collected to make this a reality?

(sorry for the hijack)

Thanks! I had it done by a great fab shop in my area and we did it in stages...I think the dumped set up required 4-5 3" stainless U bends with 5" radius and a small section of straight 3" stainless...The side exit required 3 more U bends...We used stainless V band clamps for the transition from headers to exhaust, good quality hangers, and 2 Edelbrock stainless SDT 304s...The shop doesn't have a mandrel bender so he tigs pieces together to form what he needs...He's also doing my custom chrome moly 6 point roll bar with swings outs in February...
