3" stainless TDs with Spohn TA - Photos...

I'll try to get some photos of it on the lift tomorrow, but all I can say is that its a true work of art. A local shop did an incredible job working around my Spohn cross brace mounted TA with front and rear DS loops...For now its dumped at the axle using Edelbrock 304 SDTs and just sounds sick!

All the bends are mandrel and TIG welded connecting to my Kooks stepped headers with stainless V-band clamps from Dynatech...Its just phenominal...

It appears as though clearance is good, too with the lowest points being the mufflers which are only 3 5/8" thick...Looking under the car from the front to back all you see are the mufflers...everything else is tucked up tight...Like I said I'll try to get some pix of it tomorrow...Those local to Gettysburg/Westminster/Baltimore who would like to see, hear it in person, please lemme know...It was not cheap, but well worth it...Its almost a shame to hide the work under the car...

Great, can't wait to see pics. I have been tossing and turning with the idea of a true dual setup but have been worried how it would work around my Spohn crossmember mounted torque arm with a front driveshaft loop.

Finally, here's some pix of the exhaust...The lowest points are the mufflers which are 4" off the ground...

Its hard to see the ground clearance, but it looks good...I may try to raise the driver's side up a hair after I do something with the damn weird LT1 brake line that gets in the way...It looks even better in person...

Very nice. How much total did the setup run with parts and labor? It was worth every penny from the looks of things.

$450 plus parts...I'll have to add the parts up because I've been slowly accumulating the parts...I'm gonna say $700-800 total..Which is a lot of $$$, but It takes a lot of time to get all that stuff to fit right, especially with my set up, which is all TIG welded...The end result is well worth it, I think...The guy/shop that did it is like an artist and is a perfectionist...He was really pissed that the brake line location meant he had to make the drivers side muffler hang down a wee bit more than the passenger side...We may relocate the line a hair, but I just hate fooling with factory routing...As long as I don't bang them too much I may leave it alone...Hopefully this will pave the way for guys with the Spohn chassis mounted TA to have 3" TDs...

We may go over the axle on both sides as the money allows...For right now I'm enjoying every rumbling minute of it!!

Alan, once again a nice addition to your already sweet car. But how loud is it with it dumping at the axle with those mufflers? It's not annoying at highway speeds is it?

Thanks everyone! Tuan, your TDs are pretty sweet, too! Hey Chad, I havent forgotten about your cam question...The TDs change the whole attitude of the car...Its loud run WOT, but not raspy or annoying...It does rattle some of the interior plastic when you first start it, but it settles into a nice 900 rpm chop...Sounds like a BBC motor...definitely draws attention, which can be good and bad...We'll go over the axle on both sides later in the year...Need 4.10s and a 6 point roll bar first..
