pacesetter headers tube that comes out of top
I just ordered a set of pacesetter headers and now that they have arrived wondering if I got the right ones my car has a tube that screws into the top of the manifold and on these headers there is a tube sticking up. (Sorry I wish i could post pics but not sure how) but it don't look like what I have would connect back to it without modification

There is a good chance it wont hook up. Do a search on the proper boards for pacesetter emissions tube not matching and you will get lots of answers. I just went through all this but have yet to fix the problem.

Always difficult to respond when there is no info on the car..... but we'll assume it's an LT1, and not a 93. There is an AIR system connection on the header on each side of the engine. On the factory manifolds, a male fitting screws into a hole in the header. On the Pacesetters I have seen, there is a tube, about 1" in diameter sticking up from one primary on each side, with male threads. Appears you will need an adapter to allow you to connect the factory AIR components to the Pacesetters. Different years have different diameters/threads. Maybe a Pacesetter owner can provide additional info.
You really need to add a "Signature" with basic info about your car, to avoid problems like this. I'm sure this isn't the first time I've suggested it.
Long tube or mid-length?
These are photos of the LT1 headers from the Pacesetter website:
