LT im guessin means Long Tube Headers??

So everyone is telling me to get some coated pacesetters - I wanna spend around 300-500 for the headers. Someone mentioned i could find some at customSSI and they are really helpful on this site and great website... so im really leaning towards the pacesetters I found on their website... any other ideas or suggestions???

For the amount you want to spend, it puts you in the range of what Pacesetters, Hookers, and Jet Hots cost. There is no real big difference between the three. Kooks are the best you can get but will run quite a bit more. I have the Pacesetters and they are a pretty good header. Ground clearance is great, plug access if great, and the power gains were noticable.

The actual design of the long tube will be one design. Where they may differ is that they can come with emissions fittings or you can get the "race" version that doesn't have the fittings at all. Plus, on there site, it appears that there is a set for the 98-99 LS1s and another for the 00-02s so make sure you order for your correct year. And yes, coating is definitely worth the extra money and is a good idea to get.

You won't have to remove the engine. But after you remove half the accessories and other crap that is in the way, it will sure feel like you have.
