OK... well i just ordered my headers and i was wondering if sticking a cutout in there would gain me anything. i searched for a while but couldnt find anything that would resemble an answer with my "cat-back" setup

What do you guys think? Guesses?

and if so where? i searched on that too... i figure just after the y-pipe would be a good spot since it will be cut up when i do my headers... but from what ive read some say its ok and some say its not?

any opinions would be very much appreciated

i would say upgrade to some 3" tubing.

compared to 2.75" tubing (stock) a 3" pipe has about 16% more cross sectional area, which increases flow dramatically.

i would suggest...if you want to go cheap and keep your current setup....getting a few feet of 3" pipe. run it frm the end of the new ypipe which should be 3" diameter (may have to trim off a little) and run it back to a 3" cutout right under the rear passenger seat, before the axle.

then connect the rest of the exhaust to the back of the cutout.

that way with teh cutout open you take advantage of a 3" pipe...but closed you still have the dynomouth setup
