AS&M Header starter access

On my 95 its looks like my dipstick is leaking oil. Do I need to drop the y-pipe to get the starter out ? I just put it all back together and I really don't feel like getting new gaskets and dropping the #$#^$ y-pipe again.

Why do you want to take the starter out? Just tap the bottom lip on the disptick tube to get it out of the block, clean it, put some silicone around the lip and tap it back in.

There is no way to get where the dipstick goes into the block without moving the starter (or at least that I can see or figure out).

I have the same headers, and while access isn't good it is possible; I have removed and replaced the dispstick tube without messing with the starter.

Please share with me how you got access without removing the starter or the y-pipe ?

From below I can't even see the boss for the dipstick !
