about how much would it cost to have two new mufflers installed. with mufflers at say $50/each. no new pipe put in.

also, do glasspacks really restrict flow more than increase it?

which mufflers are best for a good muscular tone? a favorite is the SLP loudmouth, but i don't have the money for it. i perfer a low, loud rumble rather than a screamer

I had a thrush glasspack on my z28 for about 2 months, it sounded good at low RPMS, but on the highway it was just plain annoying, but did have that classic sound to it since most older muscle cars used glasspacks

 

Don't know about now but a few years ago the round glasspack mufflers had a baffle pressed about 1/4 of the way back inside, it looked kind of like a turbine. I guess it was to force part of the exhaust into the packing to give it a deeper tone. I put glasspacks on a TA 455SD, slowed it down till I knocked them out of the mufflers. my .02 Danny Mc
