Question My 96 LT1 5.7 Exhaust Help

I dont know much about this LT1 I just looked at my exhaust which is stock and they only have 1 pipe going to the muffler then 2 pipes coming off it. How do I put straight duels on it with only 1 pipe? Is there even room to run a pipe on the other side? Thanx for the help

I've seen it done before (online) but I don't know how it's done. That torque bar running from the tranny to the rear end screws things up when it comes to duals on our cars.

Bunch of people have done it before. On a bone stock car you aren't going to gain much/anything from it though.

For example: https://www.camaroz28.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=452678

Let's move this to the Exhaust forum, where there are examples of dual exhausts, and where this topic is covered.

The torque arm only presents a problem if you want to do an X-pipe or and H-pipe configuration, and even that isn't a very big problem. The bigger problem is getting the driver's side pipe over the rear axle, past the panhard rod and the panhard rod brace. BMR makes a panhard bar relocation kit that helps.
