Muffler Help...

Muffler Help...
Ok guys, I'm starting to get tired of the noisy car.
I have BBK headers, off road Y, no cats, and a Magnaflow catback.
What I am wanting to do keep the stainless Magnaflow system but maybe swap in another muffler. I know my car will never be as quiet as it was stock with the headers and lacking cats, but I want it to be greatly quieted down.
Now what would be a good muffler that will be as quiet as possible without choking my engine?
Any help would be greatly appreciated as I'm wanting to do this before next weekend if possible. I am going to have the exhaust welded where the Y meets the catback and I want to swap in a new muffler at the same time.
I'm looking at mufflers at advance auto and they're cheap enough, I just have no idea what they're going to sound like.
I want quiet. Help me out guys, what are you guys running?

Re: Muffler Help...
I have thought about that but I am afraid with how my car runs and with the tune and no emissions left on it that it will blow through cats right quick and I'll be replacing it very often.

Re: Muffler Help...
If it won't eat up cats I would be more than happy to put one on if it will quiet this car down... That thought did cross my mind but I am afraid I will just destroy cats as I put them on.

Re: Muffler Help...
At least it will make the car burn cleaner and I'm sure it will quiet it down. If it isn't quiet enough, then I'll replace the muffler.
Thanks for the suggestions guys. A cat it is.

Re: Muffler Help...
This is what I have and it's as quiet as stock. I have Hooker long tubes and no cat. At the track I only lose 1 MPH going through the muffler as opposed to the cut out being open. Found mine on Ebay for $175.

Re: Muffler Help...
My car had excessive noise (I thought). So I experimented with a CCI insert in my Mufflex 3 1/2" cat-back. It helped alot. One of my Random Tech cats had a broken brick. The cats did quiet it quite nice. I decided to replace the cats w/ stright pipe due to cost. Then I had the noise problem.
I also added the additional 3/4" center deflector to the CCI. Available @ Summit.
I'm always experimenting with the exhaust.
App... 97ss 383-D1 MM6. SLP short headers w/ no-cat. 2 1/2" Y to 3 1/2" Mufflex w/ Spin-tech chambered single muffler. For noise abatement, a chambered muffler is best. But, chamber type does have more backpressure than a straight thru flow. I also have a QTP 3 1/2" single dump before the axle. I had to mod that too due to the butterfly valve plate bending. B.
