Magnaflow cat-back

hi i got a 89 iroc with a 350 sbc and im lookign at getting a maganflow catback for it. i recently found a deal on a 4 th gen magnaflow cat-back and was wondering if it's the same as a 3rd gen? would it sound different since it was made for a 4th gen with a LT1, LS1?? thanks

basically the only difference will be the front of the I-pipe where it connects to the merge on the Ypipe. you'll probably need the S pipe that SLP use to make to get it to mate up. or have a good shop do it out of some U bends. nothing major.

only other thing would be a minor difference in the mounting brackets on the back of the system.

the sound will vary a little due to different motors, but the performance will be the same.

Magnaflow makes a catback for the 3rd gen cars. I have the dual converter exhaust and it took some work (adding pipe, expanding magnaflow supplied pipe) to get it to fit. Here is where I got mine http://www.hottexhaust.com/detail.asp?PRODUCT_ID=16829
