LT's vs. Mids

Looking at pacesetter mids and ORY (94-95) and a custom S-pipe to go on my 96. How much power am I sacrificing if I get these and NOT longtubes and ORY. Reason being, the mids are dirt cheap.

You'll still see some good gains with the mids, maybe not as much as the long tubes, but still very modest gains.

I've also heard good things about the MAC mid-length headers, if you want to look into those as well. Not sure about the price differences between the two. But i was very pleased with mine

as for the difference, i've always heard longtubes are better, but mids are the next best thing when emissions come in to play

Peak, its about 10 hp difference depending on the combo. The LTs give more power under the curve too.

Good ET's and power have been made with both.

Pretty sure I can get Pacesetter LTs and Y pipe for what Mac Mids cost. I'm exclusively looking at Pacesetter mids cause they are only 253 bucks. That's about as cheap as you can get... I've seen rusty used shorties (BBK, SLP, Edelbrock, etc.) with no gaskets, Y pipe, or hardware sell on ebay for more than that.

The Mac mids are a great bang for the buck. They can make excellent power too. If you need a set, drop us a note at sales@fasttoys.net. Mention you are a Camaroz28.com member and we can offer you some great pricing.
