Lt1 pacesetter long tube headers wtf

I’m installing lt pacesetter header on my 1995 camaro z28 got my driver side one in from the bottom and noticed that there is no way I can get the pacesetter off road y pipe onto that header like wtf? That lip is in the way. And I need advice for the passenger side header. I cannot get it in at all I’ve disconnected the alternator, starter, all the spark plugs and I cannot get it from the top or the bottom. These headers have the AIR and EGR hookups. The passenger side one has the EGR and it keeps hitting the firewall from the bottom... any advice. So far I’ve been at it for over 16 hours this weekend and I’m really upset.

Id you can I recommend getting the race headers with no egr flange or the air pump threads. That would’ve made it a lot easier for me to get the headers in. But I deleted my egr and air pump anyways so me buying the smog legal headers was stupid looking back on it

Dope man what’s your build look like? I got a 95 z28 Auto with 156k on it and the motor and tranny still going strong. Cai, longtube headers off-road y pipe and flownaster exhaust.

95 Trans Am 103k, 4.10’s, CAI M6 and my heads are at Lloyd Elliott’s right now for the LE1 package with cam. I’ve got Edelbrock shorties but am gonna throw on some long tubes. Stock bottom end. I like the front end’s of those Z’s

Yea man I love trans am but personally the 98-02 trans ams with the scooper hood are my favorite. But the 98-02 camaros are uglier than the 93-97 in my opinion. I wish mine was a stick

Agreed. I couldn’t pass this up, not one inch of rust on this thing.
