From what I've read on LS1Tech is that the primaries are smaller than advertised, approximately 1 5/8"

I just bought a set of Pacesetters new for a pretty good deal. PM me if your interested in where I got them.

no thanks on the pacesetters, my buddy bought a set,and within a year, of normal driving, and very very slim wet weather driving, they wasnt looking all to good. i want a nice set of stainless steel, but the way it looks we pretty well have to suck it up,and spend the big money on kooks..

The LPP's are officially back. They were actually in stock about the time you started this thread but they wanted to give those who had reservations for them get first dibs on them. I have a pair on the way.

How do you acurately measure the size of the primaries?

I bought a set from the first batch when they were availiable and in stock. They were shipped inmediately.
All I can say is that I am very pleased with the quality of the product and final result.
The fitment issues were irrelevant and easily solved.

I'd asumme they took a micrometer to the inside of the primaries at the flange, but I couldn't tell you for sure. It was enough to scare me away.

You do realise that 1-5/8 is 1.65 inches (larger than exhaust valves) so you wouldn't lose any power because they can provide more exhaust flow than the exhaust valve. Also, their website states that they're 1-3/4 stepped to 1-7/8, is this correct? I know I want a set.

I was referring to the ebay headers, not the LPP.

No fitment problems with the lpp. Y-pipe is close to the floor but has enough clearence, not to worried about it. The best header for the money.
