Keeping the Flowmaster Sound
Keeping the Flowmaster Sound
I am looking to redo my lt1 exhaust, but I do not want to change the sound to much form my current stock with flowmaster muffler setup. AKA do not want my car to sound like a 1985 silverado with holes in the exhaust. Is it possible to add long tubes, a y pipe and a catback system.
PS didnt pass emissions for some reason. Said exhaust is getting to hot. Maybe I need a new airfilter, I dont know but either way, it is time for some respiratory changes for the 95 Z

Kind of a vague question, but yes, many of us are running this setup. You can even run long tubes, to a y-pipe, and finish it off with your Flowmaster catback. But, if you have tailpipe emissions, you will have a hard time passing with such a setup. You would more likely want to consider a shortie or mid-length setup where you can retain the stock or stock style catted y-pipe. Also, before toying around with the exhaust, I would get your problem at figured out first.

I agree.
