Exclamation I want my Z28 exhaust to sound better????

I have a 93 z28 with with flowmaster 80 series, catco converter, and chrome rectangle tips. Can i make it sound better. (louder and more muscle). I don't want to gut my converter either. For some reason my car sounding lound with some muscle is one of my favorite muscle car characteristics.

Well, I've never liked the 80 series muffler on any camaro. So i'd say swap that oput and get headers, unless you are on a tight budget then I'd suggest just a new muffler. Research different exhaust companies and look online for soundclips so you can get one you like. Youtube is good, search "camaro z28 exhaust" or something.

I would check out http://www.flopro.com

Check out their video section
I got the Mx 559 and it sounds teriffic, real deep and throaty.

I paid about $70 for it
I have been meaning to make a video for a while, maybe i'll do it tomorrow

You can maybe try a cheap 30 dollar exhaust cutout.

Try listening to different exhaust systems to see what you like. It also depends on what you want to spend..it can range from $200 to $800 for a catback system.

Beware that the sounds on this sound are somewhat dependent on how it was recorded by the user. So check out a bunch of different clips for the same system to get a good idea if you like the sound.

I seriously recommend flo-pro, this is the only mod on my Formula besides a home-made cold air intake

Magnaflow cat-back is what I went with and it sounds great, if you hook up some LT's with that I bet you would love it.
